Simply Strings Music Camp specializes in nurturing the beginning and intermediate string player. It provides basic music instruction in a fun and motivating atmosphere. The instructors at Simply Strings are certified music educators with years of experience in string technique as well as sought after free-lance musicians
The goal of the camp is to create a positive learning experience while giving students tools that will make them better musicians. Come and be a part of a wonderful musical experience.

The cost of camp is $60.00. This includes camp shirt, string method book, masterclass with top area musicians, certificate of completion, demonstration concert, student-parent reception, craft materials and rosin. The $25.00 registration fee must be received by June 1st . All fees must be paid by the morning of the first day of camp. No refunds will be given once camp begins. Parent Demonstration and Closing Reception
Parents are invited to attend a demonstration concert on the final day of camp so that they can see their child’s accomplishments throughout the week. The concert will begin at 11:30 AM and a reception will follow. Participants will be recognized during concert.
Attendance
Students are expected to arrive no later than 8:30 AM and attend camp daily. Camp will begin on time and those arriving late will miss a portion of instruction. It is very important that children arrive on time because each portion of the camp prepares the child for the day’s lesson.
Transportation
Transportation must be provided by parents and/or guardians. All classes will be held at Creekside Christian Academy, 175 Foster Drive, McDonough, GA 30253
Fee and Refunds
The fee for the camp is $60.00. The fee includes (1) camp shirt, (2) certificate of accomplishment, (3) demonstration concert (4) 2 weeks of instruction. No refunds will be given after the Friday prior to the beginning of camp.
Drop off and pick-up
Children can be dropped off as early as 8:00 AM and picked-up as late as 1:00 PM. For safety reasons, parents/guardians must sign- in during drop off and pick-up times.
Instruments
All students must have an instrument prior to the beginning of camp. One will not be supplied by the camp. If you do not have an instrument, there are several music stores in the area that offer rental plans. Instruments should be in good playing order (correct strings, all parts on instrument, bow, case, no cracks or holes).
Behavior
Students are expected to follow the instructors rules at all times and be respectful to all instructors and other campers. If a student constantly causes disruptions then they will not be allowed to return to the camp.

Simply Strings Music Camp is an exciting musical experience for children interested in playing a string instrument. The main instruments taught will be violin, viola, cello and bass. The camp teaches beginning and intermediate students. Beginning students and will focus on basic instrumental instruction. Intermediate students are students with at least one year of experience and will focus on improving music reading and technical skills. Give your child an experience they will cherish forever with skills that will boost them to higher levels of musicianship.

Simply Strings Music Camp provides a fun musical experience for young string students interested in learning the basics of string playing. Students will learn basic string techniques that will enhance their playing as well as encourage them to grow musically. The camp is under the direction of founder Corie Benton. Mrs. Benton has 13 years of string experience and has taught high level performing groups in the Atlanta metro area. She is an active member in the state organization Georgia Music Educator’s Association. In addition to teaching high school, she has served as an adjudicator and guest conductor in the metro area. Mrs. Benton is also a free-lance musician and teaches privately at the Benton Music Studio in Stockbridge, GA.
Camp Fees
